Squarespace's Renaissance portraits of modern-day creators showcase the 'best of the worst year'

At the end of a year that’s been brutal for small businesses around the world, Squarespace is highlighting half a dozen entrepreneurs who have been able to thrive this year despite the pressures of the pandemic, with digital portraits that take inspiration from another time of rebirth—the Renaissance.





“Browser History” imagines New York-based fashion designer Tia Adeola (above) as a needle-wielding dervish, surrounded by cherubic fans sporting the face masks she creates for celebrities and customers alike. The animated illustration is backed by a vaguely British voiceover detailing her accomplishments.
